Folra is a Shopify app that helps merchants create product videos and carousels. This policy explains what data Folra processes when a merchant installs and uses it.
What we collect
- Store and access data: your shop domain and the access token Shopify issues to Folra.
- Product data you choose: for products you select or import — title, description, options/variants and product images — plus the facts you enter or confirm.
- Files you upload: photos and video clips you add for a shot (from your computer or through a phone upload link).
- What you create: content plans, captions, voice-over text, rendered videos, images and exports.
- Storefront video counters: if you add Folra video blocks to your theme, daily totals of views, plays, sound-on, product clicks and add-to-cart after watching, per video. No shopper identifiers, cookies or IP addresses are stored.
- Settings and usage: brand settings, credits and purchases, and product-usage events (for example “render completed”) used to run and improve Folra.
We do not access your customers’ or orders’ data. Folra only requests product permissions: read access at install, and product edit access only if you choose “Add to product”.
How we use it
Only to provide Folra’s features: planning content, checking and processing your material, rendering outputs, adding a video to your product when you ask, billing credits, and support. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
AI service providers
To write plans and post copy, check footage and produce voice-over, Folra sends the relevant product text, confirmed facts, selected images or frames from your clips, and script lines to AI providers through OpenRouter (currently models from Anthropic and OpenAI). They process this data to return a result for your request. Folra does not use your data to train models.

Hosting and file storage providers that run Folra, and Shopify (for authentication, product access and billing).
Retention and deletion
- You can delete projects and uploaded files at any time in the app.
- Export download links expire after 7 days; phone upload links after 2 hours.
- When you uninstall Folra, processing stops immediately. When Shopify sends the shop deletion request (48 hours after uninstall), all of your store’s Folra data and files are permanently deleted.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us. Folra does not store data about your customers; customer data requests from Shopify are answered accordingly.
